Nautilus Launches “Kamikaze” Caffeinated Soy Sauce

LA JOLLA, CA – Richard H. Davis, President and CEO of Beverage Marketing USA and Nautilus Mineral Waters of America, states that his company intends to produce and market “Kamikaze” a caffeinated soy sauce. Switching to Kamikaze will wake up your sushi and may prevent “Inemuri” , the Zombie like sleep state, from eating sushi with soy sauce. Japanese soy sauce is naturally high in the amino acid L-glutamate which when combined with the enzymes in raw fish is converted by enzymatic hydrolysis into Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter that blocks impulses between nerve cells in the brain. High levels of GABA may be linked to “Inemuri”, the half awake half asleep state. Sleeping-but-not-totally-asleep is an epidemic in Japan. This phenomenon has been observed clinically but has not been fully recognised in Japan, unlike Narcolepsy, a sleep disorder characterized by overwhelming drowsiness and sudden attacks of sleep.

Davis, a combat veteran, invented the caffeinated soy sauce while living in Japan serving as a Merchant Marine. “The Kamikaze bug juice really works, falling asleep at the wheel after eating too much sushi and soy sauce is like driving under the influence of a tryptophan laced Turkey.” said Davis. “GABA induced sleep is a serious side effect of sushi and soy sauce that can render a driver incapable of operating a motor vehicle safely.” noted Davis.
